This is a must have. It shows a lot of the background scenery examples and how to build them in relation to characters and points of view. Like other books that teach perspective they cover the basics. By now comic and manga artists have already came up with clever ways to build their pannels, still this book has a lot of good examples of basics for beginners.
It is everything I thought it would be, which is great. The book is very detailed in explaining how to achieve each perspective it has in the book, which there is a lot of different ones(The How To Draw Manga series in general are always great in explaining things) . There is a balance of text and pictures, however it can be a bit confusing if you don't take your time reading. I'm an artist myself and struggle at times with perspective so, I highly recommend this book for any artist at any level.
This book in very useful and give great examples on how to draw perspectives.It shows you how to draw from birds eye view, worms eye view and normal street level view. Also it covers various different angles you can add perspective too so you can create unique panel scenes when drawing manga, comic or posters.

I really enjoyed reading this drawing book. It was very helpful in teaching me how to draw from different perspectives. I believe that both novices and experts could learn some things from this book.
..Other than what other reviewers have mentioned, I was a little disappointed the style of the inside manga had more of a butch 80's feel - the faces were uneven; didn't have wonderfully clean lines. The cover on the front gives you the impression (unless you know better) that THAT is the artist, or at least the drawing style.But like what everyone has mentioned, it is a good book on teaching you persepective. It's just some things may distract you from the lesson at hand (if you're picky).
It really shows you how to draw different things in perspective. If you struggle with perspective this is the book you should get.
