Pros: Detailed and eloquent descriptions of every facet of bonsai care for the beginner bonsai enthusiast. Lots of wonderful pictures to illustrate examples.Cons: The book lacked description in such techniques as air layering and creating new branches. Though it did talk about them, these sections were not very clear. But that's just me being picky and a beginner.Other thoughts: I've already read through this book twice and learned so much! The few gaps that the book has can be overlooked, as the information that the book does offer and helpful illustrations are encouraging to the beginner bonsai botanist!
I have enjoyed using this books with my work on my Bonsai. Very helpful.
Very informative this is one of many books I have on the art of bonsai . I personally don't think one book can help but many books and experience will help a person's knowledge on the subject .
I have read a handful of bonsai books and this one by far has been my favorite. It's very informative and helpful as a new bonsai enthusiast.
Had a lot of info and went more in depth then most other books. Has a section on specific bonsai species on how to take care of them but does not list very many different ones. Does not list the Brazilian rain tree that I have
